          Alex Smith was drafted in the 5th Round by the Texas Rangers of the 1992 MLB June Amateur Draft in which he played 5 seasons in the minors within the Texas Rangers Organization.  He successfully averaged a career fielding precentage of .974 while at the professional level from playing the OF, 2B, 3B & SS.  His best season came in 1994 in High-A Ball where he batted .291, with 21 HR, 94 RBI & 28 SB in just 132 games.  Alex has been an instrumental part to developing our young athletes with their footwork & fielding.  He attended school at Indiana University-Bloomington & The University of Texas at Arlington.  After spending 15+ years within the Texas Rangers Front Office, Alex has become the Sr. Vice President over Occupational Wear at Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company.
