Matt graduated from Grapevine High School in 2010. He is currently attending the University of Texas at Tyler and majoring in Kinesiology. While in high school, injuries set his baseball career back and only allowed him to play on the varsity baseball team his senior year. He played his summer baseball with the Arlington A's where he mainly played second and third base. For the past two years matt has helped with the Grapevine baseball camps for all ages and has coached a grapevine summer league JV team.
